Terms of Service

Kanon provides educational and informational appearance analysis: anthropometric facial measurements, comparisons against published population norms, and evidence-graded lifestyle, skincare and grooming suggestions. Kanon is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment; it is not dermatology, plastic surgery, psychology, or any other clinical service, and no provider–patient relationship is created by any part of the Service. Where a report mentions clinical options, it identifies topics to discuss with a licensed professional — it never recommends a procedure. Always consult a qualified provider before acting on health-adjacent information, and never disregard professional advice because of something in a Kanon report.

Kanon never produces an attractiveness score, rank, or rating, and you agree not to present, resell, or characterize Kanon output as one — including in screenshots, social posts, or derivative content.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. We do not knowingly sell to, or analyze the face of, anyone under 18; under-18 intakes are declined without charge. The Service is currently not offered to residents of Illinois, Texas, or Washington (or other jurisdictions we may exclude), and you agree not to circumvent geographic restrictions. You are responsible for compliance with your local laws.

Our intake includes a screening questionnaire, and screening is completed before any payment is accepted — checkout is only available to an intake with a passing screening verdict, so a declined intake is never charged. We may decline to sell an analysis based on screening — for example, where indicators suggest an appearance analysis is not in a person's interest. A decline is a product-fit decision, not a judgment or a diagnosis. You agree to answer screening questions honestly and not to circumvent screening; the Service's safety design depends on it.

Some features require an account (managed by our authentication provider). You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your full card number. Applicable taxes may be added. The annual membership renews automatically each year at the then-current price (or your locked founding price) until you cancel. You can cancel anytime with effect at the end of the current term; after cancellation you keep access through the paid period and your reports remain yours. We will notify you of material price changes before they apply to a renewal.

Founding pricing. The first 100 founding memberships renew at the founding rate for as long as the membership remains continuously active. Lapse or cancellation ends the founding rate.

Add-ons (for example the styling module or projection pack) are one-time digital purchases delivered to the associated report.

Reports are personalized digital goods delivered immediately, and screening precedes payment (Section 3), so a declined intake is never charged in the first place. All sales are final once a report has been delivered, except where a refund is required by applicable law. If our capture quality checks cannot measure your photos, we will work with you to complete a usable capture; if a report still cannot be produced, we may, at our discretion, issue a refund or a credit. Nothing in this section creates a guarantee of any refund beyond what the law requires.

Facial landmarking runs on your device; by default your photos are never uploaded — only measured coordinates and aggregate skin statistics are submitted for analysis, under the standalone biometric consent you give at checkout (see our Privacy Policy). Where you explicitly opt in (saving a capture set; generating an AI projection), you grant Renado Labs a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to process and store that content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell your data and we do not use your photos to train models. You may withdraw biometric consent and request deletion at any time.

The before/after projection is AI-generated, illustrative, and not a promise of results. It is constrained to skin, tone, and grooming changes and is rejected if it alters your facial geometry, but it remains an estimate. Individual results vary; no outcome is guaranteed.

You agree not to: (a) submit photos of any person other than yourself, or of anyone under 18; (b) use the Service to harass, rank, or evaluate others; (c) resell, scrape, reverse-engineer, or benchmark the Service, or use it to build a competing dataset or product; (d) probe or breach security or rate limits, or use automated agents to purchase; (e) misrepresent Kanon output, including as a score, a medical opinion, or an endorsement; (f) violate any law, including biometric-privacy laws, in your use of the Service.

The Service — including its measurement engine, report formats, text, and design — is owned by Renado Labs and its licensors. Your report is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use; you may share your own report, but not strip, republish, or commercialize the underlying formats, norms, or catalog content. Feedback you send us may be used without restriction or compensation.

Some product links in reports are affiliate links: we may earn a commission at no cost to you. Which items your protocol recommends is decided by the evidence engine before any link exists — payout never influences a recommendation. See How we make money. Creators in our partner program are compensated and are required to disclose it; the program is governed by the Partner Program Terms.

The Service depends on third-party providers (payments, authentication, hosting, storage, email, analytics, and — only when you trigger a projection — an AI image provider). Their availability is outside our control, and links to third-party sites or products are not endorsements. Purchases from linked merchants are governed by the merchant's terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. MEASUREMENTS ARE ESTIMATES DERIVED FROM PHOTOGRAPHS AND CARRY INHERENT ERROR; POPULATION NORMS ARE PUBLISHED RESEARCH AVERAGES, NOT TRUTHS ABOUT YOU. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SUGGESTION WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RENADO LABS AND ITS OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Renado Labs from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, your violation of law, or content you submit — including submitting another person's photo without lawful authority.

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request account deletion from the portal. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or legal necessity; where practical we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature survive (including 10, 13–15, and 17–18) survive termination.

Informal first. Before filing any claim, you agree to email legal@kanonaesthetics.com with a written description and give us 60 days to resolve it — most issues are fixable without lawyers.

Binding arbitration. Any dispute not resolved informally will be settled by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court — except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either party may seek injunctive relief for intellectual-property misuse. Arbitration will be conducted remotely or in the county where you live. YOU AND RENADO LABS EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing legal@kanonaesthetics.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name and account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where the law of your state of residence mandatorily applies. Venue for any court proceeding permitted under Section 17 lies in the state or federal courts of Wyoming.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and for material changes affecting active memberships we will notify you by email before your next renewal. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms (with the Privacy Policy and any add-on terms) are the entire agreement between you and Renado Labs regarding the Service. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Failure to enforce is not waiver. Contact: legal@kanonaesthetics.com · Renado Labs LLC.
